All the time I wasted trying to get it updated when it already was. View solution in original post. Sort of. My analysis of the newest catalog is that Dell simply removed the PSU update altogether. If I'm right, as of now you won't be able to update a PSU that has older firmware unless you do it manually.
However, it is awfully nice for those servers to finally show as compliant for the first time in years. This is because we can't predict exactly when all of the updates will be complete and the next inventory cycle will be done. I perform the update manually in-band by running the EXE from Windows. I monitored the server reboots via the DRAC and did not see any errors. I think we'll need a support ticket so the guys can take a closer look and maybe collect some logs I have same problem on about a dozen R I tried all update methods.
If anyone has a copy or know where to get a copy of the latest firmware for this bridge chip, would love to know. Message Edited by ethanweku on AM. I'm quite familiar with this error because I got it with two other enclosures I had. Managed to fix them because I fixed the firmware on them both were Oxford Now I'm new to this PL chip. I just get the error when some programs are hitting the external hd hard.
Whenever I'm compacting to a new virtual hd image and I put the image on the external hd, I get the error immediately. Unfortunately my enclosure isn't an Argosy I did find some new firmware for the Argosy but it doesn't seem to detect my chip when I tried it , but just a generic no name enclosure which uses the Prolific PL chip.
Which file are you downloading? I went there again and I still couldn't see any firmware for the PL chip. Maybe I'm going blind!!
